The Small Area Health Insurance Estimates (SAHIE) program
provides model-based estimates of health insurance coverage for
counties and states.
In July 2005 the program developed the following experimental
estimates for counties and states for 2000:
- Total population with and without health insurance coverage
- Children under age 18 with and without health insurance
coverage.
The SAHIE program is conducting research on production of
estimates for other age groups and demographic characteristics.
